Episode 06 - Running away from Love
She had not noticed how deep green his eyes were until now. She had not noticed how her heart beat faster with just one look of his until now. Why did she feel that way? She had no answer. She only wanted to stay away from this strong feeling. She had fallen deeply in love with someone else and he broke her heart. She had no strength to endure one more heartbreak again. When she realized that, she released his hand holding her bare waist and walked back to the trial room and shut the door before he could react. He watched her in bewilderment with his mouth slightly open to call her back. But he couldn't stop her.
"What happened to her? Why did she run away?" Preeti asked. "I don't know," he replied. "Why don't you show me around?", he spoke, trying to distract both their minds. He could successfully change her mind but not his mind. He wanted to know why she left without saying anything. Was she still mourning her fiancé's death? He cursed himself for not controlling himself. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible. He always got weak when he was with her.
When they were gone, Nithya sneaked out of the trial room. She had already changed herself. She searched for her family. She wanted to leave. If she stayed one minute longer, she would again make the mistake of falling in love. Finally, she found her brother who was casually flirting with curly hair beauty. As she walked towards him, she felt someone catch hold of her hand to stop her. She turned around to see Shiv holding her hand and begging her to stop with his eyes. Again her heart skipped a beat. Again she wanted to make the mistake of falling in love. "Why is God torturing me like this?" she complained in her thoughts.
He immediately realized his mistake and released her hand. "Sorry! I didn't mean to. I know you are still mourning his loss. I just didn't realize what I was doing. Please forgive me if I have wronged you anyway.", he said. His words melted her heart. She wanted to hug him. Instead, she ran away. He didn't stop her. He felt even more guiltier.
She stopped only when she was outside. She realized her family was still inside and her brother had the car keys. She couldn't remember where she had left her purse. Was it with her brother/mother? Perhaps it was in the trial room. She hit her head for her ignorance. She turned back to the store. She sighed a relief when she didn't see him where she had left him. She caught hold of her brother and lied to him about not feeling well. He pinged their mother and left home with Nithya. Shiv saw them leaving. It broke his heart.
Nithya stayed inside her room. Anish knew she was fine but assumed that she wasn't comfortable in the crowd. He didn't ask her or comfort her. He felt it was better to leave her alone. Her mind was still absorbed in Shiv's green eyes. She tried to distract herself by watching movies or reading some case files of domestic violence victims. Nothing could distract her. Suddenly she heard her mom's loud voice downstairs. She was talking to her aunt about the store and the event. She also heard her call Shiv's name. She was shocked when she realized he was also there. She decided to stay in the room until he left.
But that didn't happen. He had come to see her. When he got to know she was unwell, he decided to check on her. His family was surprised when he decided to leave Rupa and also check on Nitya's health. His sudden concern for someone whom he had just met shocked everyone including his girlfriend. When she was unwell, he never once checked to see how she was feeling. He had only sent her flowers. She wondered if he really loved her.
At Nithya's place, his eyes searched for Nitya like a helpless dog. Anish smiled and said "She is resting upstairs. I can show you to her room." "Sure!", he spoke like an excited teenager. When she heard some footsteps heading upstairs. she quickly placed her laptop and files on the bedside table. She lay on the bed and covered herself with the blanket, leaving her face bare. She closed her eyes as soon as the door opened.
Anish walked inside as Shiv followed him. He found her cute cuddled in the blanket. She looked like an angel. Rupa called Anish downstairs and he left them alone. He bent down and kissed her forehead gently. Strangely, she liked it. As he left, she opened her eyes and wanted more of these moments.
